Charlotte's 1st Haircut!

It was time for those bangs to get a trim up!! They were getting a little scraggly and in her eyes a lot. So, we went to have them snipped! Charlotte did great! She got a sucker from the "kids drawer" and was good to go! She has some bangs cut and a little of the ends trimmed up from everywhere else so the new hair could grow in full and even!

Here are some before - during - and after pictures...

Heartbreaker

Don't try and tell me she won't be a hand full in about 10-12 years.

playin' with the big boys.

Charlotte loves to play. She loves other kids. She loves it most when she is playing with other kids! We went this past weekend to the mall and made a "pit-stop" at the Speedway Zone play area. We circled the area a couple times before entering since all I saw were older kids running really fast. But, I spotted a few younger kids and figured Charlotte could hold her own. Boy, did she! She loved it! She played on the slide and in the tunnel the most. But, most of all, she squealed with delight anytime an older kid came zooming past her! Super fun...we will be going back!

Pumpkin...Banana... same thing.

We took our annual trip to the pumpkin patch and stocked up for the Halloween season. Charlotte was too funny as she thought pumpkins were bananas! When we first got there, she was pretty wide-eyed with the "sea of pumpkins" then Wes sat down beside her and handed her a "Charlotte sized" pumpkin. The conversation went something like this...

Charlotte with a confused look..."Nana????" (Charlotte talk for banana, one of her favorite foods)
Wes: "No - pumpkin"
Charlotte: "nana???"
Wes: "No, pump-kin. pump-kin"
Charlotte: "NANA!!"

Well then. Nana it is.

Go Bears!

Another year of Lenoir-Rhyne's Homecoming is upon us and we wouldn't miss it for the world! What a great day we had, even though it was unseasonably hot. A little too much for football weather. Charlotte loved the parade as we watched it with cousins and grandparents. We tailgated for a bit and watched the football game that afternoon. Danny and Starby stayed with us that night and the boys played golf the next day so the girls did some shopping. Great weekend!!

Quick update...

As most of you know, we have been moving over the last couple weeks - so computer time has been rare! We are getting settled in here in Hickory. Its good to be back in NC! Charlotte has started a new school and MM and new job - so there is lots to catch up on. I'll post soon about all that has been going on. But, for now, here is just a peek.
