This is how we roll...

It seems we can't go anywhere just the three of us these days! We are almost always joined my one or several members of Charlotte's "crew". There is Winnie-Pooh, Dora, Darby, Baby (1), Baby (2), and Baby (3), Eeyore, Doggie, or Elmo. It's exhausting deciding which one will come with her, which goes in the doll crib, who sits in Charlotte's bed, which baby is hungry, who wants to be rocked, and how in the world she is going to carry them all in one arm full! Charlotte will make a great mommy one day!

As you can see -- Dora, Baby (#2), and Winnie-Pooh made the cut this day for the car ride to school. When we get to school Charlotte kisses them all and tells them night-night while placing them in the floorboard. Since that is obviously what they do all day while she is at school and we are at work - sleep in the floorboard.

In this picture, MM says, "Charlotte - say cheeeese". Charlotte says, "Baby, Dora, Pooh... say cheese". Aren't they all so photogenic?

CAUTION!!

Wal Mart kept Charlotte entertained on Sunday -- We turn around for 2 seconds and then hear, "Mommy-Daddy look" (which comes out like - "mommydada yook!"). We find this little goose bumping into stuff!

Why, no, its not a magic-walking-caution sign... its Charlotte!!

One More for Daddy...

The Latest.

Here are the stats from Charlottes 2 year appointment -

Weight: 32 lb - 95%
Height: 38 in. - this is off the chart! She's got some height on her!

The doc said everything looked perfect! Charlotte even sang "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and "The Hokey Pokey" for her, proving the development is great! She doesn't have to go back until her 3 year visit - and she is done with shots until 4! She did have one shot today - in her thigh. I held her hands and she watched the nurse do the whole thing. She flinched when the needle went in and then stuck the lip out and said,

"MMOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!"

Then the nurse said, "Here Charlotte, let's put a Dora band-aid on your boo boo". Suddenly, silence... and all was right with the world.

One Dora band-aid and a Dora sticker later, we were on our way. Of course we had to make a pit stop for Charlotte to tell everyone in the lobby she had "Two Dora boo-boos."

We're so cool!

Hello all! Thought I'd share the latest with Charlotte! Things are going well here in Hickory... Charlotte has been moved up to the 2+ year old class in school, so she comes home exhausted everyday! I think the big kids are a little more to keep up with! Fun thing about the class is that she is in there with her cousin Nicholas. She loves that... and I love seeing NicNic everyday when I pick her up! Her newest craze is singing her ABC's! She sings them all the time and is actually very good at them. I have been trying to get a video of her singing them, but have been unsuccessful. Stay Tuned!

Recently, MM had a case of strep throat - and of course - as it usually goes, Wes got it just as MM started feeling better. So, that was a really bad week. However, Charlotte seems to have missed any illness, and was such a good girl while each parent was pulling single duty. It's Super Girl!

She is extremely into her "babies" right now. Baby dolls sleep in her lap, ride in her bike, and go on rides with us. They usually come to the car in the mornings as we drive to daycare, but Charlotte knows now that the babies go "night night" in the floorboard while Charlotte goes to school. Now that's the life.

We have her 2 year appointment in about 2 weeks - so I'll be sure to update the stats then!

We drove to Blowing Rock for the day last weekend. Just some walking, shopping, and of course... Kilwin's Ice Cream. It was so nice and cool there - we even thought we even questioned putting a long sleeved t-shirt on Charlotte once up there! One thing we didn't plan on was walking behind a gentleman who had two animals on leashes. As Charlotte pointed out, "Doggie doggie doggie!" we soon realized there was only one doggie -- and the other was the man's pet goat. Walking on a retractable leash...In downtown Blowing Rock...Like nothing was strange about it. Of course I took pictures.

Dog. Man. Goat.
