Celebrating with Aunt Liz

Elizabeth and Barton (Charlotte's god-parents) are expecting a baby girl in May and Charlotte and mommy were invited to a shower for "Aunt Liz" this past weekend. Charlotte loved seeing everyone and being surrounded by all the pretty girly things! We can't wait to meet Little Miss Dyson!!

Swamp Thing.

For Valentines Day we took a family outing to the Science Center/Aquarium. They have a special exhibit going on called "Swamp Thing" so we wanted to check that out. Again, Charlotte loved it - and no major fits this time! We hit up the science part first - then to the Swamp. It was a great exhibit - lots of live animals. Snakes, a bobcat, raccoon, alligators, spiders, turtles, and the one booth we didn't walk past... the possum. I don't care if my fears rub off on my daughter...we were NOT looking at that thing. Its the one thing I am truly spooked by, and even behind a glass cage was not safe enough for me. On to the aquarium where we splashed the turtle water and played with the stingrays. She points out "ishy, ishy" now every time she sees a fish.

We had to make a pit stop on the way home the other day, and I actually got to take my time and stroll around the store for a while... as you can see, Charlotte entertained herself. The ladies in the store got quite a kick out of her. Hey, the more Charlottes the better, right?

a picnic in February??

Yep! Charlotte and I went to Poppo and Maggie's for a cookout on a beautiful Sunday afternoon while Daddy worked. We hiked, played with bubbles, played in the creek, ate, and got dirty!! Perfect!

Charlotte has friends being born left and right!! A lot of our close friends have been due recently... and there are more on the way! One due in April, one in May, and two in June! Congrats to all the beautiful families!
