January is "Art Makes Me Smart" month at Charlotte's school (Chautauqua Art and Day School). They do art projects every day of the month and at the first of February the school holds a fundraiser art show. The parents get to purchase the childs artwork and also bid on group canvases the school did. They had all sorts of art work -- photographs made and hanging from the ceiling, bubble art, plaster work, spin art, chalk art, pencil drawings, silhouettes, you name it! Even the little ones (like Charlotte) get to participate in almost all of the activities! What a fun afternoon we had going to view all her talents... here are just a few of her works of art!

Happy Valentine's Day!

Well - I feel like such a "mom". We made Valentines the other night for all the kids in Charlotte's class. So much fun! Today, when I dropped her off, we placed all the cards in their appropriate Valentines Day bags. The kids are all exchaning today and having a little party at lunch time. Weren't those days the best??? I look forward to doing this each year and seeing her enjoy these times as much as I did as a kid!

Little Red Head in a Little Red Wagon...

Charlotte's first ride in her Radio Flyer! This was a gift from our friends who threw us a shower (before Charlotte was born). She loves it! Charlotte would rest one arm outside of the wagon and cruise along... she's so cool.

She thinks its funny when you turn around and walk backwards (facing her) while pulling the wagon. We've only ventured around our cul-de-sac a few times so far. A real neighborhood walk might be in the works!

One of the Pink Ladies...

Charlotte looks good in any color -- but last week she was wearing alot of pink... Pink Eye that is.

We have survived our first bout with pink eye. Of course this will not be the last time we see it, I am sure, but the first time is bound to be the hardest. Charlotte handled it well. I think it was tougher on us than her! I got called Thursday from her school saying that they thought she had it - and to please come get her to have it checked out. So, I did and off to the doctor we go. Pink eye it was... along with it came one ordered day home from school (and work for me).

After the first round of drops she looked 100 times better... amazing! So, she looked almost back to normal by mid day Friday and we enjoyed having some "girl time" on our "day off". By Saturday it was all gone, and she was a 100%!

A New Years sleepover

Charlotte had her first sleepover on New Years Eve! Jack came over and the whole Hermans family spent the night to ring in the New Year. New Years morning was a fun filled day of playtime with her best bud, Jack.

Its the most wonderful time of the year...

Christmas was quite an adventure this year! Charlotte is 6 months old and seemed to think Christmas was the best thing ever since she got to put all this pretty paper and ribbon in her mouth. Santa found Charlotte even though she wasn't in her house Xmas morning!!
